Elaine has significant experience assisting counsel in evaluating financial reporting issues and with audits performed in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards, internal controls, and reinsurance arbitrations. Elaine has testified in connection with various issues related to reinsurance disputes. Elaine has also assisted counsel with accounting issues related to software companies and assisted in several claims management disputes. In addition, she provides internal audit outsourcing and Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 compliance services. Elaine is an ARIAS-US certified arbitrator.

Prior to joining Veris, Elaine was a technical manager at the AICPA. There she provided technical support to and managed the activities of the Insurance Companies Committee, as well as various Accounting Standards Executive Committee task forces, and the Relations with Actuaries Committee. Before joining the AICPA, Elaine spent more than seven years in KPMG’s external audit financial services practice.
